Description:
Wage DOE: $30-$35/hour
The ideal candidate will have experience in A/R, ancillary billing and processing, medical insurance billing, posting cash receipts and bad debt collections. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
Responsibilities include but not limited to, managing resident trust fund, including printing and distributing monthly statements. Maintain census and report status changes. Attend stand up meetings. Medicaid billing and assisting with Medicaid applications, track Medicaid redeterminations. Billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits. Undertake collection activity for bad debts. Ancillary billing and processing, posting cash receipts. Maintain census and completing admissions, discharges and transfers.
Qualification Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment as well as proficient in Microsoft products computer skills. Preferable one year experience in a long term care facility.
Language Skills Ability to read technical procedures. Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands: The essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Prolonged use of sitting at a computer. Standing and /or walking occasionally. Reaching with hands and arms, pushing/pulling occasionally. Talking and /or hearing very frequently. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling occasionally. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception in vision: ability to adjust focus.
