The Senior Maintenance Engineer will develop and implement technical and mechanical improvements for the Seattle facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance systems, lubrication, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment, including mobile equipment.
Develop and implement the DSCQP inspection program.
Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA, and similar techniques.
Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF and NAI of major equipment.
Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization.
Provide technical support, training, and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
Contribute to the area budget and accountability for results based on defined KPIs.
Provide daily feedback to the maintenance lead hand and maintain a field presence to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Perform activities relating to the plant's predictive maintenance and equipment health program in partnership with the maintenance team.
Support the development of best practices and processes to ensure plant activities are optimized and costs are best-in-class.
Contribute to the development and application of plant policies and procedures.
Help develop goals and objectives to implement actions, track performance, and continuously look for opportunities for improvement.
Assist in developing the plant's capital plan and implementing plant capital projects.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related engineering field.
3 years of professional experience in the job offered, as a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or in a related maintenance position within the cement or mining industry.
3 years of professional experience with each of the following:
Working in a maintenance capacity in the cement or mining industry.
Working with ball mills, materials classifiers, large-scale fans, and heavy conveyors.
Using SAP for maintenance work orders and parts inventory management.
Ensuring maintenance reliability and applying predictive maintenance principles.
