About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Analyst to join our Financial Shared Services team that are located at our Bindjareb office in the beautiful Peel Region southwest of Perth on a permanent basis.

As the Senior Cost Analyst, you will contribute to the wider business by being accountable for the control of data into the General Ledger, providing timely and accurate monthly reporting to enable the effective site management review of cost performance and internal controls. Additionally, the role contributes towards Raw Material and Finished Good Inventory costing including preparing complex Inventory models.

In this role, your key activities will include:

  • Accounting for the WA Operations lime inventory costing process including foreign currency transactions and complex supply chain processes.

  • Accounting for the WA Bauxite Royalty process including preparation of the monthly accrual, quarterly Royalty Return and the Annual Royalty Return. Responsibility also includes liaising with the Internal Sales team and the Department of Energy, Mines Industry Regulation and Safety.

  • Controllership activities including preparing Account Reconciliations, Location Physical Asset Inventory counts and supporting SOX Controls.

What you can bring to the role

  • Degree qualified in Finance / Accounting.

  • Experienced working within a similar capacity and a commercial environment demonstrating self confidence in own ideas along with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Skills in Excel, where exposure to Oracle, Hyperion and audit protocols would be considered highly desirable.

  • An ability to apply a forward-thinking approach with strong attention to detail.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management proven to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure.

  • Initiative, motivation, and the drive for results with the flexibility with working hours to meet month end reporting obligations.
