About the Role:

Embark on a rewarding career path as a Field Planner at Huntly! We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our dynamic planning team. This is a full-time position with the flexibility of a condensed 4-day work week, allowing for a better work-life balance.

As a Field Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all maintenance activities. Reporting directly to the Area Planner, you will be responsible for translating maintenance strategies into effective and high-quality weekly plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and facilitate weekly plans: Lead weekly planning meetings adhering to the standardized Alcoa Reliability Excellence (REX) Planning process.

  • Streamline daily planning: Ensure timely and effective information flow by supporting the daily planning process and accurately capturing outcomes.

  • Resource management: Identify and secure necessary resources, including personnel and parts, for all planned maintenance activities.

  • Drive continuous improvement: Actively participate in reviews of major activities, identify areas for enhancement, report on findings, and initiate corrective actions.

  • Support financial planning: Contribute to the development of accurate and up-to-date long-term activity schedules by assisting with budget preparation, forecasting, and maintenance strategies.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • A strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

  • A team-oriented approach to work

  • Well-developed communication and organizational skills

  • Previous experience in the Maintenance, electrical/instrument or mechanical fields in mining. Alternatively, with relevant work experience.

  • Ideally, you will have extensive maintenance planning experience and be proficient in a wide range of PC software, including maintenance management systems.

About the Location

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
