Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a passionate and skilled Process Control Specialist to become an integral part of our Car-T project team located in the vibrant city of Ghent, Belgium.

Our Engineering & Production Services (E& PS) team is committed to ensuring that our building systems operate safely, efficiently, and continuously, 24/7. In this collaborative role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated group of process control specialists.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and optimizing utilities, door interlocking, and HVAC systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Mastering the intricacies of life safety systems including fire, gas, and O2 detection to ensure the utmost safety and compliance.
  • Leading improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence.
  • Participating in alarm management and reduction efforts to streamline our processes.
  • Preparing for work by managing special permits and supervising associated tasks to guarantee safety and efficiency.
  • Conducting technical research as the automation expert, performing queries to support our operations.
  • Collaborating in root cause analyses following incidents and guiding the implementation of action plans.
  • Becoming a knowledgeable user of our Installation Management System (IMS) and contributing to the standardization of procedures.
  • Engaging actively in team meetings and work planning sessions to enhance our collaborative efforts.
  • Taking ownership of specific projects and shutdown activities, including planning, coordination, and contractor management, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guiding principles throughout your work, while maintaining rigorous documentation in line with GdP guidelines.
  • Fostering strong relationships with the entire E& PS FM CarT team and collaborators to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, you will participate in developing processes and installations.

Qualifications and requirements: :

  • Proficiency in Siemens TIA-portal or S7, alongside a solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation fundamentals.
  • A creative and practical attitude, with strong analytical problem-solving abilities to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (SAP), as well as knowledge of energy, utilities, water systems, and HVAC systems.
  • An understanding of GmP and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • A collaborative spirit, working effectively with both internal teams (EHS², quality, engineering) and external partners (contractors, sector organizations).
  • Flexibility, with a commitment to achieving results independently and under tight timelines, while remaining motivated and stress-resistant.
  • A readiness to engage in peak workloads during shutdown periods and participate in our standby system to ensure our team's availability year-round.
  • A proactive, "can do" attitude, showcasing both independence and teamwork to foster a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
