Description:

Software Engineer

Location: Belgrade/Novi Sad

As a Software Engineer at EnergySage, you'll design and implement features that help consumers make informed decisions about renewable energy. You'll work with increased autonomy while helping to shape our online marketplace that makes sustainable energy options transparent and accessible. You'll be expected to independently deliver medium-complexity features, proactively identify technical issues, and begin mentoring more junior engineers.

What will you do:
  • Design, develop, and implement features with minimal guidance
  • Translate loosely defined requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code across both frontend and backend systems
  • Debug complex issues and propose solutions
  • Contribute to technical decisions and architectural discussions
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor more junior team members
  • Help improve engineering processes and practices
  • Identify and address technical issues proactively


What will make you successful:
  • 2-4 years of software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, JavaScript, and Vue.js, or ability to quickly learn these technologies
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of AWS cloud services
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative, agile environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Track record of delivering features that meet business requirements
