The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Small Works (SMWX) Project Engineer to join our Digital Building Business. Reporting to the Solution Delivery Manager will be located at our Melbourne office, this role is responsible for Engineering and Commissioning of SMWX projects - Building Management Systems (BMS). Delivering works to the site standard or national engineering efficiency program (EEP) standards.

Adherence to Schneider Electric's Customer Project Process (CPP) focuses on improving operational performance and ensuring consistent execution everywhere. Collaboration and Cooperation with Admin, Sales and Service support teams will be vital, as well as being open to new learnings as you develop yourself within the Schneider business.

About you:

You are someone that gets excited about technology and excels in problem solving within challenging environments. You are focused, collaborative and passionate about the work that you do. Achieving results motivates you. In addition, you have the following skills:

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or related discipline
  • Understanding of building management systems principles with ideally 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with project design documentation
  • Commissioning of BMS controls in conjunction with HVAC commissioning
  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT network infrastructure and structured cabled systems
  • Electrical License (full or restricted) desirable
  • Valid Australian Drivers License
  • Ability to successfully obtain a defense clearance which would include unrestricted working rights
