Job description

Senior Recruitment Lead (RPO Senior Recruiter)
  • 8 Month Fixed Term Contract
  • Melbourne | 4 days (part time) or 5 days (full time)

Build the workforce behind Australia's next generation submarines

Korn Ferry is partnering with Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to deliver recruitment across one of the highest profile and complex programs in the country. Backed by AUKUS, this is a rare opportunity to play a direct role in delivering Australia's future fleet of nuclear-powered submarines, and the world class infrastructure required to build and sustain them for decades to come.

We're seeking a Senior Recruitment Lead with proven civil infrastructure recruitment experience to help scale a workforce that does not yet exist, supporting the transition from early planning into large scale construction and delivery.

The role

You'll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across complex, technical roles supporting large scale infrastructure delivery. You'll operate as a trusted adviser, bringing market insight and practical solutions that directly impact program delivery.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where success comes down to your ability to:
  • Find and engage scarce talent
  • Influence senior stakeholders
  • Keep critical roles moving in a tight market
This role can be worked four or five days per week and is remote first, with office attendance and in-person candidate engagement as needed.

What you'll be doing
  • Own end to end recruitment for priority and hard to fill roles
  • Partner with senior leaders to align hiring with program delivery
  • Headhunt and proactively map civil infrastructure talent
  • Deliver strong candidate engagement, including face to face where possible
  • Provide clear, commercial market insights
  • Ensure all hiring meets governance and security requirements

What we're looking for

You'll bring proven experience recruiting within civil infrastructure environments, given the complexity and specialist nature of the roles.
  • Experience across major civil infrastructure sectors
  • (roads, rail, bridges, tunnels, ports, aviation, water, utilities or energy)
  • Strong track record hiring for engineering, project delivery, commercial and site-based roles
  • Deep capability in proactive sourcing and headhunting
  • Comfortable operating in complex, multi stakeholder environments
  • Australian citizenship (required for clearance)

Why this role
  • Work on a national priority program with real impact
  • Build a workforce that underpins long term infrastructure delivery
  • High ownership, high trust, and real influence
  • Backed by Korn Ferry's RPO capability, tools and brand
  • Ability to work remote with occasional travel to the office
