THE OPPORTUNITY

This role presents an opportunity to drive scientific exchange and clinical partnerships with haematologists to improve the outcomes of blood cancer patients utilising our broad portfolio of innovative therapies. We are a leading haematology company and continue to bring novel therapies to market. The MSL/Senior MSL is placed at the cutting edge of translating scientific developments and knowledge into the clinical management of blood cancer patients.

The MSL /Snr MSL is a field-based, customer-facing role whose purpose is to develop, deliver and engage in scientific communications with Health Care Professionals (HCP) and translate scientific and clinical evidence into clinical practice in line with the company’s medical communication plan. The MSL / Senior MSL also serves as a bridge with the clinical community to bring relevant, timely and actionable insights to the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute external customer engagement across a range of haematological malignancies
  • Execute in-field medical communication and insights gathering with target clinicians
  • Interpret and utilise Company Scientific Communication Platforms, narratives and appropriate medical literature compliantly during customer interactions
  • Effectively plan and allocate time to prioritise regular in-field appointments
  • Use appropriate communication channels to meet customer preferences and business needs
  • Work effectively with the internal cross functional team to optimise outcomes

  • Ability to learn and apply high level scientific knowledge in a clinically relevant fashion
  • Strong written and verbal scientific communication skills
  • Effective internal/external stakeholder engagement and partnerships
  • Strategic account and business management acumen
  • Cross functional collaboration and teaming experience
  • Evidence generation and dissemination expertise.

Experience or qualifications that are critical to this position

  • Preferred minimum education: Tertiary qualifications in science of health care related profession with strong scientific or clinical background in relevant therapeutic area
  • Preferred related industry experience: Healthcare / Pharm.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in science, medicine, public health, or drug development desirable
  • Prior industry experience in medical affairs viewed favourably.
  • Other qualifications: Driving License Required.
