The Opportunity

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our NSW/VIC Joints Team. This role will see you driving sales from our Digital Surgery portfolio to Orthopaedic Surgeons in both public and private hospitals across NSW and VIC. You will also be involved in maintaining relationships with Surgeons, troubleshooting issues and providing support to Product Specialists and delivering training to our customers and wider Joints Sales Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and driving the Digital Surgery Capital Selling process, playing a lead role in executing surgeon conversions via the Digital Surgery strategy, and meeting sales targets on a state-wide basis to grow business
  • Working with the State Joint’s Sales Leadership and Sales Teams to identify, prioritise and action surgeon conversion plans, and leading the conversion and AIDINC process working in collaboration with the local Sales Team from beginning to the point of final handover to local DPS team for business as usual
  • Assisting in formulating and delivering training and support of Digital Surgery to customers, wider Joints Sales Team, and other internal and external groups as necessary or as determined by the Digital Surgery Marketing Manager
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships and planned regular contact with surgeons converted, providing troubleshooting and ongoing support as required
  • Working with Marketing Managers to formulate, and deliver local and national marketing, education and other demand generation activities for Digital Surgery

About You

  • Degree qualified with minimum 6 years local orthopaedics sales experience in large joints and a keen interest in Digital Surgery
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the local market and with an in depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, kinematics, tribology and orthopaedic principles
  • Demonstrated track record of strong commercial achievements, and motivation to grow the business and market share
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build long-term relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, a positive can-do attitude and strong organisation and time management skills
