About the Role

QT Melbourne is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager (Aka Master of Relationships) to lead the development and expansion of our customer base. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional ready to pioneer innovative strategies and deliver exceptional account management across all market segments.


As a luxury lifestyle hotel, QT moves fast. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in an energetic environment and enjoys being close to the action. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be accountable for driving budgeted revenue growth, maximising market share, and consistently delivering above-market results.

This role suits a client-centric relationship builder with strong commercial acumen, creative flair, and unmistakable QT style.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the direction, development, and execution of key market strategies.
  • Own and exceed annual sales targets across all segments, including corporate contracted, consortia, inbound, groups and events.
  • Effectively communicate the hotel’s amenities and offerings to target markets, including accommodation, food and beverage venues, meetings and events, and new developments.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections, client entertainment, product updates and famils.
  • Support the Director of Sales in the development and delivery of annual and periodic sales activity plans.
  • Prepare sales contracts and respond to client tenders in line with QT Hotels & Resorts policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities, providing strategic insights to drive revenue growth ahead of the market.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, maintaining a strong new business pipeline and structured key account management plans.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across the broader EVT portfolio.
  • Ensure all sales activity is accurately recorded and maintained in the CRM.
  • Foster strong internal relationships, contributing to a collaborative and positive workplace culture that reflects our values of possibility, community, and empowerment.
  • Any other reasonable requests made by the Director of Sales or General Manager.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar sales role within hospitality or a related industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in events, hospitality, or tourism (preferred).
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive mindset and strong motivational skills.
  • Highly developed organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and show initiative.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
