About the Role:
The Associate Director of Sales is primarily focussed on securing future business opportunities within assigned markets, cultivating the current base of major accounts, increasing projected revenues, promoting EVT group business, identifying potential in markets where we are not capturing our fair share of the business and ensuring a competitive position in anticipation of changing market and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and grow new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining and conducting site inspections.
• Maximize key accounts by saturating account contacts and departments. Establish and maintain close contact with key accounts through phone calls, appointments, client functions and famils to assess future and current needs of the client.
• Capture and shift business from competitor hotels through research, networking, and proactively telemarketing/soliciting new accounts as well as outside sales calls. Establish and maintain close contact with target accounts through phone calls, appointments, client functions and famils.
• Direct management, oversight and goals (revenue, demand generation, share growth) for identified group accounts.
• Ensure the hotels are kept abreast of key market and account trends, production and high-impact sales activities.
• Strive to deliver above market performance, enhancing both hotels market share in identified target markets.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders prior to making major decisions, ensuring that major decisions are fully supported by a Business Case.
• Actively participate in identified Revenue Management calls and weekly C& E Hub calls.
• Support the strategic direction of both hotel sales strategies in identified markets.
• Assist in the development of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget.
• Ensure that all activity undertaken s recorded in the CRM.
• Monitor the hotel sales delivery against targets through a process of review and revision.
• Be aware of business peaks and troughs and contribute innovative ideas that drive revenue and profitability of your target markets for both Hotels.
• Participate in industry organisations with a view to maintaining relationships, securing business and obtaining industry information.
• Any other reasonable requests made by the Director of Sales or General Manager.
Skills & Experience:
• Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communication with all team members for the overall success of the hotel.
• Understand the objectives of target market segment and ensure that strategies support those objectives.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
• Speak with confidence about the EVT hotel portfolio.
• Excellent communication and selling skills.
