About the Role

Yarra Valley Lodge is looking for a dynamic, creative and strategic Marketing Manager to join the team. You will be the storyteller behind one of the most inviting destinations in Victoria. Translate EVT’s national brand moments into locally resonant campaigns, spark partnerships that elevate our accommodation and dining experiences, and collaborate with influencers who capture the essence of the region. With a loyalty-first mindset, you’ll help grow our member community and keep guests returning for the magic only Yarra Valley Lodge can offer.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute tailored marketing strategies and annual calendars to meet revenue, brand, and customer‑experience goals.
  • Protect and enhance the full customer journey across digital and on‑property touchpoints.
  • Position Yarra Valley Lodge as a premium regional resort aligned to ongoing investment.

Website, Search & AI Visibility

  • Own website storytelling, content updates, and commercial optimisation across all hotel and third‑party platforms.
  • Analyse performance data and implement SEO‑aligned improvements with agency partners.
  • Create structured, search‑optimised and AI‑ready content; maintain accuracy across all listings.

Campaign Execution

  • Deliver EDMs, local promotions, and data‑driven initiatives supporting Rooms, C& E and F& B.
  • Develop and maintain hotel collateral, digital concierge content and compendium assets.

Social Media & Content

  • Lead annual social strategies, content calendars and influencer activity.
  • Produce and manage photo/video shoots and create engaging short‑form social content.
  • Monitor channels and support community engagement in brand voice.

Media & PR

  • Manage local media relations, famils, press materials and PR opportunities.
  • Oversee rollout of brand assets to ensure consistency across all channels.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce regular reporting on marketing performance, insights, trends and revenue impact.

Partnerships & Loyalty

  • Build and review hotel partnerships; manage influencer collaborations.
  • Support loyalty‑first member acquisition and engagement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will be tertiary qualified in Marketing, Communications or a relevant discipline with at least 5 years’ experience.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Creative thinker with strong idea presentation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate future demands and approach challenges positively.
  • Highly developed English language proficiency (verbal and written) for diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local and national media landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing and communication campaigns across multiple channels, both proactively and reactively.
  • Strong understanding of organic and paid social channels and performance metrics, with experience producing and publishing content in various brand voices, supported by excellent copywriting, proof-reading and creative skills.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering new products and services.
  • Experience in business transformation and project management, with a proven ability to deliver work on time, within budget and aligned to strategy.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • Outstanding relationship builder, able to partner with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform collaboratively within a professional team and fast-paced environment, adapting flexibly to changing situations, and taking ownership of decisions and outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, WordPress, Hootsuite, Isentia, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and content editing platforms.
