About the Role

Built in 1880 on Little Collins Street, The Victoria Hotel has been at the center of Melbourne CBD life for well over a century — heritage charm out front, MISTER MUNRO Restaurant & Bar and Vic's Bar buzzing inside, and Flinders Street, Fed Square and the Free Tram Zone all on the doorstep. We're on the hunt for a Guest Service Agent who wants to be part of the story.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating needs, providing warm welcomes and farewells, and promptly responding to requests, messages, and concerns — heritage hospitality with a modern edge.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently, including accurate check-in/check-out, cashiering, daily transactions, and opening/closing duties in line with hotel procedures.
• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Maintenance, and other teams — including our MISTER MUNRO and Vic's Bar crews — to ensure rooms, special requests, and guest expectations are fully met.
• Maintain accurate reservations, room rates, packages, and up-to-the-minute local know-how (best Collins Street shopping, the closest tram stop, tonight's steak night at Vic's) to confidently assist guests and maximise service quality.
• Uphold hotel policies, WH& S standards, training requirements, and equipment care while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

What You'll Bring

• 1+ years of experience as a GSA in a hotel or similar role.
• Proven ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in front office operations including check-in/out and handling guest accounts.
• Ability to build strong relationships with other departments in the hotel.
• The ability to deal with multiple requests at once and maintain a high level of service.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and booking procedures.
