We are looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Diegem, Belgium.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• Manages a large and/or complex project with high visibility (multi area or product) at all stages (initiation, execution, closure) and in all PM areas (time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement).
• Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks.
• Obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meet customer expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance.
• Develops detailed project plans, project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities.
• Ensures that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget, quality and resource requirements using excellent communication skills.
• Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects, ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained.
• Leads larger project teams and project-managers of sub-projects.
• Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders.

• Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy.

  Plans own work and other to meet given objectives and processes.

• Manages changing scope (i.e., change management) and project acceptance criteria

Do you have what it takes?

• A minimum of 3y of Project Management experience in IT
• Experience with different project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and PMI methods as well as the ability to decide which is the best method for various projects
• Experience with high level planning for several projects together keeping in mind resource allocations from multiple development teams and test teams
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as project management tools (Microsoft Project / Online Gantts)
• Excellent reporting skills
• Data analysis experience with the ability to quantify performance and project results as well as analyze financial information such as budgets, expenditures and return-on-investment. Additionally, when closing a project, you need to report on the overall performance of the project, which will require the ability to analyze data collected during the project, such as task duration, actual costs, return-on-investment and break-even points
• Experience with planning in "fast changing" business environments
• Proficient project management experience with technical and domain specific business knowledge
• Proven ability to lead and manage a specialist-based, high-performing and multicultural team
• Demonstrated people leadership capability to drive and motivate staff to meet project deliverables
• Proficient experience in preparation of project plans with appropriate budget and resource requirements
• Results-oriented and driven by goal achievement with a strong focus on excellence and high-quality project delivery
• Proficient experience in stakeholder and communication management
