The MT Advanced Planning Systems Center of Excellence (APS CoE) organization is part of JJ MT Supply Chain Center and responsible to drive the system roadmap and advance the maturity of core planning systems (demand planning, supply planning, production planning, S& OP, and analytics) by introducing innovative supply chain capabilities and technologies. Based on that scope the APS CoE operates globally and across all 3 MedTech business units.

The MT Senior Manager, Plan System will focus on strategic system based planning processes, primarily the developing, and implementing strategic system roadmaps, streamlining the execution of critical base business support capabilities, and ensuring strong relationships to key stakeholders within the SC Center as well as the base business teams. The role will be responsible for driving value realization of investments, prioritization and execution of all post-project improvements and for ensuring the continuity of all system processes within its respective scope of plan platforms assigned.

In addition, this person will help transform / standardize underlying system processes and ensure their integration. The person in this role will demonstrate strong experience in supply chain, planning systems / capabilities, end to end thinking, digital acumen and ensure proper linkages to partner functions.

The MT Senior Manager, Plan Systems will report directly to the APS CoE Director / Plan Systems Integration Director.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Planning Systems Roadmaps + Maturity:

  • Develop, define, and deploy strategic roadmaps for the advanced plan systems across all business units.
  • Driving system process standardization in collaboration with the integrated business management team.
  • Shape plan systems improvement recommendations, aligned to MedTech process blue-prints and business requirements.
  • Drive business adoption of system processes by defining, implementing, measuring meaningful measures. Ensure clear roles + responsibility definitions and drive effective accountability.

Plan Systems Reliability

  • Ensure plan systems performance expectations are clearly defined and aligned with the business, they are effectively and efficiently determined, and are consistently meeting the needs of the MedTech Regional Supply Chain and Global Plan community.
  • Establish effective base business support structures and governance processes that efficiently ensure a stable and robust business process execution. A staged and knowledgeable support analyzes and determines appropriate actions to address break-fix issues and offering solutions to the base business teams.
  • Ensure the provision of system trainings, knowledge and documentation, experience sharing and drive awareness on business system process management.

Critical Stakeholder Management

  • Drive partnership with global MT Supply Chain teams, enabling a robust und functional base business expert community, with a common governance process and collaboration model to continuously improve plan systems process maturity.
  • Continuous alignment with the JJT teams to ensure a consistent cross-functional focus on the business priorities.
  • Partnering with other supply chain functions (data, deployment, planning excellence, etc.) to build strong relationships across all teams that directly or indirectly impact business systems performance.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelors degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or equivalent/Advanced degree/MBA preferred

Required:

  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience working in Supply Chain / Operations to drive business process improvement.
  • Demonstrated outstanding strategic planning skills.
  • Strong people management and development skills.
  • Expert level background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions, including end Customer touchpoints.
  • Demonstrated experience working Globally, strong team leadership skills for multi-regional teams and stakeholder management
  • Progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations/Supply Chain (or supporting function such as IT).
  • Experience working with virtual teams and matrix organizations.
  • Global experience (with multiple countries, regions) and associated cultural awareness
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong in interdependent partnering and team management.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into simple, workable solutions and creative problem solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Medical Device industry.
  • PMP, FPX, Green Belt or equivalent certifications
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CFPIM or CIRM)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint), knowledge of Microsoft Project & Visio
  • Robust knowledge of advanced planning systems, preferably OMP+, APO and Blue Yonder, Demantra or Anaplan.

  • May require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations
  • English written & verbal skills required
