Job Description:

MedTech Belux is recruiting for a Belux MedTech Supply Chain Lead, located in Diegem.

The MedTech Supply Chain Lead Belux is a critical leadership position responsible for the development and execution of the EMEA SC Strategy. They will be the E2E Supply Chain integrator at the country Level, enhancing the customer experience for the Orthopaedics, Cardio and Surgery franchises. The MedTech Supply Chain Lead Belux will build & implement plans with all local and central supply chain teamx§s to turn our supply chain into a competitive advantage.

The MedTech Supply Chain Lead Belux will be a member of the Mid-Sized Markets Cluster SC Leadership Team and of the Commercial Leadership Board in Belgium & Luxembourg (190MM USD NTS). The role reports directly to the MSM Cluster SC Leader and leads a team consisting of direct (S& OP and Asset Management) and indirect (Customer Service and Operations) SC Leaders. Duties include budgeting, inventory and service management, risk analysis, and taking active role on the Sales & Operation Planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the development and execution of a fully integrated MedTech Supply Chain Strategy in collaboration with the Franchises and in alignment with regional partners to transform customer relations from a transactional to a value-based long-term partnership approach

  • Bring country perspectives into the EMEA SC Mid Term Plan, local Business Goals and regional SC goals across the three franchises: Ethicon, Cardiovascular and Special Services and DePuy Synthes

  • Be the single point of contact for the Country General Manager and local Leadership teams

  • Lead the magnificent execution by having direct responsibility of the team in charge of planning/S& OP, supply execution and inventory management and accountability on warehousing/orthokit centers and customer service in an integrated manner

  • Be responsible for setting and communicating Supply Chain performance goals (quality, service, inventory, cost, on time launch, etc), supervising the performance and lead the continuous improvement process and action plans across all supply chain functions

  • Lead and facilitate the monthly local S& OP processes, ensuring that sales and marketing events & market intelligence are accurately gathered and passed on to the Regional & Global planning teams to ensure on-time right product availability, as well as service review meetings (STEM & PAC) for service risks and define mitigation actions to minimize impact to our end customers

  • Build solid partnership and end-to-end collaboration with key groups - commercial organizations, local and regional supply chain organizations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, etc – to ensure their contribution is focused on the End-to-End goals

  • Lead enhancement of commercial and supply chain effectiveness through strong governance, effective processes, transparent communication, and establishing consistent terminology and approaches across multiple franchises digitally enabled

  • Drive and shape a value driven & digitally enabled transformation from the supply chain

  • Ensure we keep the customer at the center of everything we do and translate the “Voice Of Customer” from our annual Customer Experience survey into action plans with all partners

  • Use market insights to create new supply chain models and innovative solutions that optimize customer value, integrate process vertically and drive growth

  • Ensure supply chain readiness in support of NPI & LCM projects

  • Provide ground-breaking leadership through effective organizational design, organizational change, focused talent selection and new capability building.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Shown experience, most of which preferably in a sophisticated Supply Chain environment and a confirmed leadership track record in at least 2 of the following functional areas: manufacturing, planning, distribution, quality, customer service.

  • Experienced in previous leadership position in execution driven roles and management of senior partners in an international environment is a requirement

  • Experienced in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector is desirable.

  • Project management skills, with the ability to motivate change and influence decision-making through multiple levels (middle to senior management) of the organization is a plus

  • Consistent track record of challenging the “status-quo”, visualizing potential opportunities and implementing actions to build value

  • Shown success in articulating a vision, engaging and mobilizing partners and employees around that vision, and delivering superior value

  • Successfully driven end-to-end SC improvements with measurable results: financial, quality and cycle time

  • Experience with ERP system rollouts and linked process optimizations. Extra advantage if SAP (S4Hanna) experience

  • Great at building partnerships to optimize value proposition with limited authority

  • Great skills at attracting and developing superior talent. Leading people through organizational uncertainty or key change initiative such as merger, acquisition, divesture, and/or restructuring

  • Speaking at least one of the local country languages – Germany, French or Italian
