Beerse, Antwerp, BelgiumJob Description:
The Janssen Supply Chain Group, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting a Particle Identification Expert for the CAR-T hub in Europe. The position will be based in Beerse Belgium.
CAR-T is an innovative blood cancer treatment that uses the strength of the patient's own immune system. The patient's T-cells are genetically modified to eliminate the cancer cells. This advanced technology offers hopeful prospects to patients for whom other therapies provide no or insufficient results.
We are therefore working passionately on expanding our capacity for CAR-T treatments in Europe, both at our existing site in Beerse and in Ghent, where we have developed a new production site. We are looking for strong talents who are eager to participate in this innovative and hopeful venture.
For this lab-based position, the particle ID expert will mainly work with a wide range of imaging and spectroscopic techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM-EDX, XCT, IR and/or Raman microscopy for the identification of unknown particles/materials found in the CAR-T process to support root cause analyses in scope of investigations. The scientist will work closely together with the Advanced Materials Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group within Analytical Development that is responsible for analytical characterization of pharmaceutical products and for leading global analytical investigations for the commercial product portfolio and for the Discovery, Product Development & Supply (DPDS) organization of J& J Innovative Medicine.
