We are searching for the best talent for General Manager IMSC Beerse Site role to be based in Beerse, Belgium.

Purpose: Are you passionate about supplying high quality pharmaceutical products to patients? At our Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) unit in Beerse, Belgium, we proudly serve five patients every second with a team of 700 dedicated professionals!

We are looking for a General Manager that will shape the future of the site. Sets operational and strategic direction for the Beerse manufacturing plant and deliver short and long-term objectives in the areas of safety, sustainability, customer service, product quality and plant competitiveness.

As the GM you will help the Beerse campus play a key role in the Johnson & Johnson Global network and the local campus strategy, by building meaningful internal and external relationships and communicating with different levels of the organization. Beerse Campus is a strategic location for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain with a strong portfolio of new and existing products. In a very dynamic environment, the GM will be required to help operationalize new products, technologies and ensure the site is enabling these capabilities. As GM, you will also be a key member of the Synthetics Global Platform Leadership Team.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years in supply chain environment (operations, quality, engineering) required.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, Pharmacy or equivalent required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Business Knowledge and a good understanding of the technologies that are applied in a drug product facility. Technical knowledge of parenteral manufacturing is a plus.

  • Understanding of compliance requirements (cGMP) and of Prevention regulations (EHS) and guidelines.

  • Ability to analyse problems and derive thoughtful solutions by working with your team members and being excellent in communicating solutions and directions to the organization.

  • Insight in costing & budgeting, financial systems & understanding of market economic factors required.

  • Ability to function in a highly complex global environment and connect with different functional groups and people in multiple levels is required.

  • Track record of influencing the external environment based on knowledge of social, political, regulatory and economic issues affecting business domestically and globally. Ability to build effective partnering relationships.

  • Excellent People Management skills and hands-on track record in building high performing teams. Coaching leadership style that develops talent with proven success as people leader.

  • A strong change and engaging leader

  • Knowledge of JJPS including Standard Work for Leaders or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

  • As we are looking for a highly motivated individual who can thrive in a global environment proficiency in both English and Dutch is required.

  • This role may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
