Valley Community Services Board is seeking an Adult Outpatient Clinician to provide behavioral health services to adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders. In this role, you'll provide assessment, diagnosis, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination while helping individuals work toward recovery, stability, and their personal treatment goals. What You'll Do As an Adult Outpatient Clinician, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services while helping clients identify their goals, address barriers, and work toward greater stability and recovery. Responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial needs assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk screenings.Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based and best-practice interventions.Complete substance use screenings and assessments using American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and other appropriate screening tools.Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.Provide crisis intervention and safety planning and coordinate with emergency or crisis services when needed.Coordinate care with psychiatric services, primary care providers, case management, substance use programs, and community partners.Connect clients with internal programs, external providers, and other behavioral health, medical, and social supports based on their individual needs.Support continuity of care during transitions such as hospitalization, movement to a higher level of care, and discharge.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, supervision, peer review, training, and quality improvement activities.Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with DBHDS, Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency requirements.
