TForce Freight is hiring a Driver Recruiter, Workforce Planning- TForce Freight in Henrico, VA. This is a full-time position.

Job Description

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified commercial drivers to meet company and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements and staffing needs. This role focuses on building strong candidate pipelines, maintaining compliance with both company requirements and DOT regulations, and ensuring a positive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and recruit qualified drivers (CDL and/or non-CDL) using Oracle, job boards, social media, referrals, and community outreach
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews to assess driver qualifications, experience, and suitability
  • Verify credentials, including CDL status, driving records (MVR) and employment history.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company hiring standards
  • Educate candidates on company pay packages, benefits, routes, schedules, and expectations
  • Manage applicant tracking systems (ATS), Oracle, and maintain accurate recruitment records
  • Build and maintain relationships with driving schools, employment agencies, and referral partners
  • Meet or exceed hiring goals while maintaining driver quality and retention
  • Collaborate with operations, safety, and HR partners to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Track recruitment metrics and report hiring progress to leadership

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 1-3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in transportation or logistics
  • Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms, Microsoft Office, and recruiting tools
  • Recruiting knowledge and experience (preferred)
