This role blends release governance with hands-on DevOps execution, ensuring Salesforce changes are deployed safely, predictably, and in alignment with schedules, quality gates, and compliance requirements. The role emphasizes Copado-driven CI/CD, environment strategy, cut-over planning, and operational readiness, while continuously improving release reliability and delivery outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design and maintain release windows, freeze periods, deployment sequencing, and cut-over plans.

· Plan, schedule, and execute Salesforce releases using Copado-based CI/CD pipelines.

· Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams, vendors, and parallel workstreams.

· Drive release readiness reviews, go/no-go meetings, and rollback strategies.

· Execute and oversee Salesforce deployments involving Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, metadata, integrations, and managed packages.

· Work closely with DevOps to define pipeline approvals, quality gates, and promotion criteria.

· Support hotfixes, emergency releases, and recovery activities with minimal production impact.

· Maintain consistency and stability across Salesforce environments including Development, Test, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production.

· Coordinate sandbox strategy, refresh planning, and environment readiness in alignment with release schedules.

· Enforce deployment traceability, auditability, and release documentation through Copado and Jira.

· Serve as the primary coordination point between Salesforce developers, administrators, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders.

· Provide clear release communications, deployment status updates, and release notes through Jira and Confluence.

· Monitor deployment success and failure trends and drive continuous process improvements.

· Analyze release metrics, cycle times, and incidents to improve reliability, predictability, and throughput.

· Maintain and evolve release runbooks, standard operating procedures, and release documentation.

· Contribute to the maturation of DevSecOps practices and Salesforce platform governance standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· 4–7 years of experience owning release management for a portfolio in complex IT environments.

· Proven experience designing release windows, freeze periods, and cut-over strategies.

· Hands-on experience executing Salesforce deployments using Copado in multi-environment ecosystems.

· Experience working with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, approvals, and automated quality gates.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams, vendors, and cross-system dependencies.

· Solid understanding of Salesforce platform components, dependencies, and deployment constraints.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent releases.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

· Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, or DevOps-related credentials.
