This position supports the Department of Defense's mission to modernize and optimize cloud technologies, ensuring secure and reliable infrastructure across various enterprise systems. In this role you'll support leading innovative cloud initiatives and complex IT projects that align with the broader defense goals, driving efficiency and cloud integration within multi-tenant environments.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement cloud architectures that meet the enterprise needs of the Department of Defense.
• Lead cloud migration efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and DoD requirements.
• Oversee the development of disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies across commercial cloud platforms.
• Interface with government personnel to define cloud objectives, providing technical leadership and direction.
• Ensure successful implementation of multi-region/multi-availability zone cloud solutions.
• Provide guidance on improving system architecture to align with cloud modernization initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship, NATO//SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics / OR / 15 years of combined experience in computer/network architecture, with 5 years in cloud architecture.
• IAT Level III certification.
• 10 years of technical and/or management experience in DoD programs providing software O& M for enterprise systems.
• 5 years of experience supporting cloud initiatives at an enterprise level in the Government or industry sector.
• 1 year of experience defining cloud migration objectives and ensuring IA compliance in the last 3 years.
• 3 years of experience with commercial CSPs (AWS or Azure) in disaster recovery and high availability.

Key Skills and Abilities (Preferred):

• Extensive experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Expertise in developing and managing cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to drive cloud architecture strategies at an enterprise level.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
