Maximus is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Alliances & Partnerships manager to build and cultivate strategic partnerships that drive business growth.

About You:

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, strategic alliances, or partnerships, with a proven track record of success in developing and managing profitable partnerships with major SaaS providers and distribution partners.

• You have experience working cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Operations) to establish and execute go-to-market strategies.

• You possess excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• You are a skilled negotiator with a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions.

• You are proficient in project management methodologies and have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• You have excellent analytical skills and are adept at developing and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track partnership success.

*Must reside in the DC, Virginia, or Maryland area to comfortably come into the Tysons Corner office in VA. This is a hybrid model role which requires in office time per manager's expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Identify opportunities, support pipeline development and maturity, and drive sales with strategic alliances.

- Work with alliance partners to develop joint go-to-market strategies and/or differentiated solution offerings, and to cultivate opportunities for joint opportunity captures/pursuits.

- Coordinate with internal teams to develop business objectives or initiatives that would benefit from external alliances or partnerships.

- Based on target alliances and partnerships, develop sales engagement plan for identifying, engaging, and pursuing mutually beneficial accounts and opportunities.

- Develop and deliver presentations demonstrating value of potential partnership opportunities.

- Work with, and support, the Partnerships Team during the due diligence process when evaluating potential partners and negotiates terms.

- Develop messaging or talking points used in partnership-related marketing collateral and other communications.

- Represent the company externally to develop additional business.

- Shape service delivery and execution with the design and implementation of strategies and initiatives related to strategic alliances.

- Evaluate alliance performance using data and report outcomes.

- Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department in collaboration with senior management.

- Establish departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have significant impact on the organization.

- Manage budget and staffing for the department.

• Maintain, enhance, and implement a partnership program to identify, qualify, and onboard new partners that complement Maximus' offerings and expand market reach.

• Manage the existing ecosystem of alliance partners, ensuring strong relationships and mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Establish new partnerships with leading technology and SaaS providers and distribution partners.

• Coordinate with internal teams for Governance and Legal review of partner program agreements.

• Manage the flow of opportunities from distribution partners to Maximus growth teams.

• Lead partner marketing initiatives to enhance Maximus' brand awareness and generate qualified leads through joint marketing efforts.

• Develop and implement partner enablement programs to ensure partners have the knowledge, resources, and tools to successfully sell Maximus solutions.

• Create and maintain internal resources (e.g., SharePoint sites, training materials) to support effective collaboration with partners.

• Track and report on partnership performance metrics (e.g., revenue generated, leads created) and identify areas for improvement.

• Manage partner portal access and facilitate access and monitor partner program compliance.

• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Operations) to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that leverage partner strengths.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in strategic alliances management.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.

- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.

- 5 years of previous experience managing experienced professional level employees.

- Knowledge of partner relationships and structure.

- Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments, including technical knowledge.

- Experience required with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

- Knowledgeable in SharePoint.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment, requiring flexibility, and excellent customer service skills.

- Demonstrated ability to implement strategic alliance programs and to drive financial growth through partnerships and alliances.

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

• Experience collaborating with distribution partners such as Insight and Carahsoft is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience with partner marketplaces and co-selling programs.

• Partner certifications are a plus (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google, Salesforce)

• Proven track record of developing and managing profitable partnerships.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies.

• Excellent analytical skills and experience with developing and measuring KPIs.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and Salesforce CRM tools.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
