Job Description

INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR is hiring a Inventory Control Supervisor in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Supervises all warehouse and inventory control activities. Provides guidance, expertise and supervision to Warehouse Associates and ensures adequate level of material and/or product inventories are maintained.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise Warehouse Associates providing guidance and expertise.
\n
    \n
  • Responsible for all assigned warehouse operations.
  • \n
  • Initiate and monitor all safety policies.
  • \n
  • Review completed accident reports.
  • \n
  • Evaluate performance of Associates.
  • \n
  • Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are clean and orderly at all times.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Conducts performance reviews.
  • \n
  • May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to Warehouse Director.
  • \n
  • Ensure adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained.
  • \n
  • Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs.
  • \n
  • Responsible for counting inventory as assigned, identifying and resolving any shrink issues.
  • \n
  • Responsible for making sure that the warehouse inventory is properly rotated and codes are monitored to ensure no out-of-date issue.
  • \n
  • Responsible for placing orders for purchased products and communicating with Pennsauken for produced products.
  • \n
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
\n
Required:
\n

\n
    \n
  • Preferred Bachelors Degree in related field and 5 years Warehouse experience and 4 years Inventory Control experience; OR 7 years Warehouse experience and 6 years of Inventory Control experience.
  • \n
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • \n
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • \n
\n

• Related training or certification.
\n

  • Experience with confidential files, documents and other information
  • \n
\n
• Experience working in a team environment.
\n
    \n
  • Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
  • \n
  • Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator.

  • MS Office including Word and Excel.
