Deloitte is seeking a Data Strategy Team Lead to help clients define and execute data strategies that support business transformation, decision-making, and operational improvement. This role combines strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate can translate business needs into actionable data priorities and help drive measurable outcomes through data-enabled change.

Work you'll do

As a Data Strategy Team Lead on the Deloitte team, you will be responsible for:

• Define core data requirements in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders
• Standardize business definitions, metadata, and data governance documentation across priority domains
• Assess current-state data platforms, capabilities, and gaps to identify improvement opportunities
• Develop target-state data architectures and phased roadmaps that support business and transformation priorities
• Create reporting and dashboard products that support decision-making, performance monitoring, and program execution

Our Cyber Strategy & Transformation offering develops and transforms cyber programs in line with a client's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. It keeps the enterprise a step ahead of the evolving threat landscape and gives stakeholders confidence in the organization's cyber posture. Includes design of the cyber organization, governance, and risk assessments. Our team helps organizations shape enterprise data strategies that improve decision-making, strengthen governance, and support transformation priorities. We work with business and technology leaders to define practical approaches for data management, analytics enablement, and operating model design. The team brings together strategic advisory, structured problem-solving, and execution support to help clients turn data priorities into business outcomes.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience related to the duties of the role in lieu of degree.
• Active Public Trust security clearance or the ability to obtain.
• 3+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, data bricks, data management, analytics strategy, data architecture and enterprise transformation.
• 3+ years of experience defining business requirements and translating them into data, reporting, or governance solutions
• 3+ years of experience assessing data platforms, operating models, or governance processes
• 2+ years of experience developing target-state architectures, roadmaps, or implementation plans
• 2+ years of experience creating reporting, dashboard, or performance management products
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/ sectors you serve.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in a client-facing advisory or management consulting environment
• 2+ years of experience supporting data modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
• Experience with metadata management, data quality, or master data management programs
• Experience developing executive-level presentations and client deliverables
• Experience leading workstreams in multi-phase transformation programs
• Experience with Palantir software data platforms.
• Experience with AI/ML.

This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107, 700 to $179, 500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
