Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and environmental considerations are given top priority in work procedures.
- Advanced abilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems.
- Understand and exhibit working knowledge of Lock-Out / Tag-Out principles.
- Understand and exhibit working knowledge of Arc Flash awareness and PPE requirements.
- Isolate, test and troubleshoot 3-Phase 460-volt electrical distribution systems (fuses, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, etc).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.
- Ability to navigate and troubleshoot Ethernet networks, IP addressing and establish communications with PLC processors.
- Ability to upload/download programs to PLC’s.
- Demonstrated ability and experience with installing/troubleshooting VFD’s.
- Expertise using all common hand tools and mechanical/electrical measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, multimeters and Megger.
- Interpret drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files, online sources, equipment vendors and manufacturers. Make additional sketches, diagrams, etc. necessary to communicate issues.
- Work to continually improve the PM (Preventive Maintenance) program.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities and solutions.
- Become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for specialized equipment such as Davis-Standard Extrusion, StampTech Blow Mold and Guardian G900 Bandsaw machines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electricity and Electronics or equivalent Military MOS / Apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance capacity required.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manufacturing industrial equipment.
- Possess Multi-Craft skills (Welding, Fabrication, Instrumentation, Electricity, HVAC etc.) and be able to demonstrate such.
- Basic welding skills: Mig/Stick, Oxygen/Acetylene cutting and plasma arc.
- Experience with operating Industrial equipment such as Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and electric pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, working from heights, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able to work the required scheduled hours from 6: 00AM-4: 30PM M-T.
- Must be available for overtime as production needs require with occasional Saturday's.
Pay Details: Starting pay for this position is $30 per hour.
