Then we'd like to meet you and bet you'd like to meet us.Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our Ashland Specialty ingredients G.P. business at our Hopewell, Virginia location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Maintenance function. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Complete oversight of the planning process for area shutdown jobs, requiring the ability to prepare and present documents with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Review new work requests to determine parts/kitting, material, labor, and hazards.
- Develop timelines for preventative maintenance and work order planning.
- Create manpower allocation schedule for prioritized workload.
- Manage administrative functions regarding onsite contractors, to include permits and site-specific items.
- Update bills of material as needed, utilizing Maximo (internal software) and other inclusion forms.
- Review work orders for time, notes, accuracy/KPI reports.
- Assist storeroom clerks and maintenance staff in parts chasing for emergency jobs.
- Assist maintenance staff in maintaining inspection reports.
- Ability to effectively solve problems and manage multiple priorities and programs.
- Supports a positive team environment where members participate, respect, and cooperate to achieve desired results.
- Attend area reliability and safety meetings.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: - High School Diploma and/or GED
- 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance planning in an industrial setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven success in project management.
- Proficient using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments, vendors, contractors, etc.
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: - Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Knowledge of Maximo and Akwire software.
- Experience working within a union environment.
- Previous maintenance manufacturing experience with technology knowledge of equipment.
- Six Sigma, Lean, or relevant continuous improvement experience.
