The Payments Specialist is responsible for the accurate application and posting of funds received for A/R Financing client accounts. This role works closely with team members in both the Payments department and the A/R Financing group to investigate and resolve payment application issues, ensuring timely and precise posting to client invoices. A strong focus on teamwork, accuracy, and customer service is essential to success in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately apply and post incoming payments, including checks, wires, and ACH transactions

• Import and post daily ACH’s and reconciles assigned accounts

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams, clients, and debtors

• Analyze current payment processes and proactively recommend improvements to enhance efficiency

• Consistently meet or exceed established accuracy standards and transaction posting goals

Education and Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 6 months of data entry or banking experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PC applications, and 10-key data entry
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
• Familiarity with A/R Financing processes and a clear understanding of client expectations
