01 TDW (US), Inc., a division of TD Williamson, is hiring!

Description:

At TDW we put people first - that means working everyday to ensure the pipelines that run through our communities are operating safely and reliably. What sets us apart is our expertise, experience and commitment.

Each day we dedicate ourselves to treating each other, our customers and our community with care and respect.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact pipeline integrity projects that are core to TDW's mission. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of complex projects - including the development of cutting-edge in-line inspection tool technology and advanced pipeline diagnostic programs - from concept through deployment. You will act as the central point uniting Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and IT teams to deliver results, essentially functioning as both a program leader and a project manager. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position : you'll drive multi-million-dollar initiatives that advance TDW's technology and operational excellence, ensure cross-functional alignment at all stages, and communicate progress and insights to stakeholders at all levels. Your work will directly contribute to safer, more efficient pipelines and reinforce TDW's reputation for innovation and reliability in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects in the Pipeline Integrity program. Plan, execute, and close multiple high-priority projects (e.g. new in-line inspection tool development and critical technology upgrades) to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives

  • Manage a broad project portfolio, covering ~60% of TDW's capital projects in this domain. Balance and prioritize resources across concurrent projects, maintaining visibility on both day-to-day progress and long-term program milestones.
  • Proactively control project risks and changes. Identify potential roadblocks or scope changes early and implement mitigation plans. Drive problem-solving for technical or schedule issues (for example, steering critical engineering change orders through resolution to keep the project on track). Ensure quality standards and safety protocols are upheld throughout.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across at least five departments - Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and IT - to align on project goals and deliverables . Facilitate collaboration and integration among diverse groups, ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction.
  • Serve as the communication hub for your projects. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and senior leadership, translating detailed project status into executive-level updates and actionable information. Manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparency and regular progress reports.

Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional projects in an industrial, energy, or manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects of significant scope (multi-year, multi-million-dollar programs or multiple concurrent projects).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Concise Risk Communication: Ability to quickly distill complex issues into clear, actionable updates. Why It Matters: In this role, senior decision-makers rely on the PM to frame risks and options accurately amid urgent situations. Being able to communicate the crux of a technical or schedule risk (and propose solutions) in a concise manner is critical for keeping projects on track and stakeholders confident.

  • Composure & Urgency Management: Grace under pressure and effective prioritization. Why It Matters: The environment includes frequent urgent requests (e.g. unplanned customer needs or technical fire-fights). A successful PM stays calm, focused, and methodical when juggling crises, which helps the team remain productive and prevents panic. This competency ensures that high-pressure situations are handled without derailing long-term project goals.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills across all levels. Why It Matters: The role deals with a broad internal network - from engineers and technicians to directors - and also external partners. An effective PM can build trust, navigate political sensitivities (e.g., competing priorities between departments), and motivate teams that don't report directly to them.

  • Organizational Skills & Follow-through: Extremely organized with strong follow-up habits. Why It Matters: With numerous parallel activities (weekly syncs, reports, vendor actions, change orders), nothing can fall through the cracks. The PM must diligently track action items and deadlines, ensuring that commitments are met and documented. This reliability builds stakeholder confidence and keeps projects moving forward smoothly.
