State Bank of Southern Utah is hiring!

Description:

Assists the appraisal department by handling incoming appraisal requests and closing out completed appraisal reports. Reviews completed evaluations and appraisals for completion and follows up on any missing or erroneous information. This position acts as the point of contact for appraisers and vendors. Manages other office administrative duties to support the workflow of the department. Takes pictures of various types of property for evaluation files. This position is based in-office in Cedar City. This is not a remote work opportunity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for outbound calls to obtain property details for personal and agricultural properties
  • Assists with real estate evaluations and review them for completeness. Follows up on missing or incorrect items
  • Completes equipment evaluations
  • Conducts reviews of residential appraisals for quality control and completeness
  • Generates and sends appraisal requests and engagement letters
  • Compiles the quarterly statistics report
  • Conducts lease and sale surveys
  • Updates water sale data
  • Maintains Residential and General appraiser list
  • Maintains tracking sheets
  • Files evaluations and appraisals in physical and electronic locations
  • Possesses the willingness to learn appraisal industry terms and standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED required
  • Must pass a credit & background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in one of the following industries: real estate, appraisal, title, escrow
  • Administrative support or assistant in mortgage lending or brokerage setting

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience extracting pertinent information from publications, marketing materials and various online sources
  • Completes tasks with a concern for all the details involved
  • Proactively identifies approaches to improve own performance and receive feedback
  • Desire to maximize personal productivity and bank and department goals
  • Ability to work in a team setting

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License

Education

Preferred
  • Associates or better in General Business
  • Bachelors or better in General Business
