Job Description

The duties of the Engineering Intern will be focused on supporting the execution of projects at Schreiber's Logan, Utah production facility. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Management teams under supervision from Engineering.

This Internship is a year round position. You could expect to work approximately 20 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours a week during summer and winter breaks.

What you’ll do:

  • Establish design criteria for new equipment

  • Manage projects or tasks with the goal of improving or adding production equipment to solve production problems or increase capacity

  • Contact OEM’s to obtain equipment specifications, layouts and quotations

  • Manage vendors and contractors to purchase, install or modify existing equipment according to design and schedule

  • Oversee/Assist with equipment installation and startup

  • Lead efforts to identify improvement opportunities then design, test, and execute solutions

What you will need to succeed:

  • Completed Sophomore-level status or higher toward a BS degree in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Chemical, Biological or Electrical preferred)

  • Effective communications skills

  • Competency with MS Excel, MS Power Point and AutoCAD or other 3D modeling Required

  • Ability to work well with other departments

  • Ability to take ownership of assignments and complete them on time and accurately

  • Must be analytical, creative, and proactive in improving our production systems

  • Desire to grow and take on new challenges/opportunities
