General PurposeThe Tax Analyst is responsible for assisting in the preparation of annual and quarterly tax provisions, as well as federal, state, and local income tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. They play a crucial role in tax planning, conducting special studies, and participating in strategic initiatives. The analyst also supports tax audits and responds to inquiries from tax authorities. They will report to the Director of Taxation.
Essential Duties- Help prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions.
- Assist with federal corporate income tax returns and state and local income tax returns.
- Coordinate with third party advisors for tax compliance and other tax projects.
- Engage in tax planning, research, and special projects as assigned.
- Support in responding to federal, state, and local tax audits.
- Cooperate with other tax department members and support functions to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
QualificationEducation and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a master's degree with a tax emphasis is preferred
- CPA certification or candidacy is preferred
- 1-2 years of business tax experience, including internships.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience using technology to maximize efficiency, mınımıze errors and take a new perspective on existing solutions is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
