Summary The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across offsite locations, processing purchase and work orders, managing bills of material, and ensuring timely, accurate cycle counts. This role works closely with third-party partners to support inventory transactions, data setup, and reporting accuracy, while also driving visibility into inventory risk (obsolescence, excess, shortages) across the business. Key Responsibilities Core Inventory Management Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records in the system for all offsite/3PL locations Process purchase orders and work orders in a timely and accurate manner Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) to ensure production and inventory accuracy Set up and maintain item masters and other required data with 3PL partners to enable accurate inventory transactions Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and co-packers to obtain reporting needed to transact inventory Cycle Counts & Reconciliation Own the cycle count process, ensuring counts are performed on schedule and discrepancies are investigated and resolved Reconcile inventory discrepancies between system records and physical/3PL-reported counts Maintain lot/expiry tracking accuracy to support QA and recall readiness Support month-end inventory reconciliation with finance/accounting for valuation and close Produce exception/variance reporting, proactively flagging discrepancies above threshold rather than reacting after the fact Obsolescence & Excess Inventory Management Track and report on slow-moving, aging, and obsolescence-risk inventory across all locations Partner with sales and marketing to identify and drive usage/sell-through of heavy or at-risk inventory (e.g., promotions, bundling, allocation to specific channels) Lead or guide regular meetings on inventory health, surfacing risk items and recommended actions to stakeholders Cross-Functional & Process Partner with purchasing, demand planning, and warehouse teams to support inventory accuracy goals Maintain SOP documentation for inventory processes across systems and 3PLs Support NetSuite go-live activities, including data migration and testing Own key inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy %, cycle count completion rate, obsolescence exposure) Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse operations Hands-on NetSuite experience, including inventory management, purchase orders, and work orders/BOMs Experience setting up and maintaining item master data with 3PLs or similar external partners Experience with lot/expiry tracking and inventory risk/obsolescence management Strong Excel skills Preferred Qualifications Comfortable presenting inventory data and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, including sales and marketing Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Additional Information: Pay is $45, 000 - $65, 000, DOE Full-time schedule Insurance benefits are available for eligible full-time employees.
