Bridgerland Technical College (BTECH) is seeking a Full-Time Interior Design Instructor to join our team in Logan, Utah. About Bridgerland Technical College Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges, providing high-quality, hands-on technical education throughout the Bear River Region. What You'll Do As an Interior Design Instructor, you'll create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for careers in the interior design industry. In this role, you will: Plan and deliver competency-based instruction aligned with approved curriculum and industry standards. Teach interior design principles, including space planning, color theory, materials, textiles, and design concepts. Provide hands-on instruction using industry-standard design software and digital visualization tools. Guide students in developing floor plans, technical drawings, and design presentations. Develop and maintain curriculum materials that reflect current industry trends and technologies. Assess student progress and provide individualized coaching, mentoring, and support. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and competency documentation. Foster a safe, organized, creative, and student-focused learning environment. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to support student success and program improvement. Participate in program planning, advisory committees, and student recruitment activities. What We're Looking For We're looking for a creative, knowledgeable interior design professional who enjoys sharing their expertise and helping students succeed. Preferred education and experience qualifications include one of the following: Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related experience; Technical college certificate with at least one year of industry experience; or High school diploma or equivalent with four or more years of industry experience. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, along with a commitment to professionalism and student success. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Interior Design Skills & Software Proficiency Candidates should have experience and proficiency in several of the following areas: Revit Adobe Photoshop AutoCAD Architecture and Space Planning Building Codes Business Practices Design Theory and Color Theory Lumion Materials and Sources SketchUp Pro Textiles and Pattern Development On-Site Position Logan, Utah Because this role involves extensive hands-on instruction, student interaction, classroom demonstrations, and collaboration with faculty and staff, regular physical presence on campus is required to perform the essential duties of the position.
