Bridgerland Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Electrical Instructor to join our team in Logan, Utah. As an Electrical Instructor, you'll work with students, helping them connect classroom instruction and labs with real-world application. About Bridgerland Technical College Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges. We provide high-quality, technical education to those in the Bear River Region. We prepare students for successful careers through hands-on skills and learning opportunities. What You'll Do As a Part-Time Electrical Instructor, you'll provide technical instruction and support students as they progress through their training and prepare for successful careers in the electrical industry. Key responsibilities include: Delivering engaging classroom instruction in electrical theory, code requirements, safety practices, and industry standards.Creating a safe, productive, and student-centered learning environment.Administering, evaluating, and grading assignments, and student assessments.Monitoring student attendance, progress, and membership hours.Supporting student retention and successful program completion.Assisting students in achieving educational, certification, and career goals.Maintaining strong relationships with local electrical contractors and industry partners.Gathering industry feedback to ensure curriculum remains current and aligned with workforce needs.Recommending curriculum updates based on advisory committee input and industry trends.Ensuring compliance with college policies, accreditation standards, and apprenticeship requirements.Collaborating with faculty, staff, and industry stakeholders to promote program excellence.Assisting students with job placement opportunities and career advancement resources. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a skilled electrical professional who is committed to workforce development and helping students succeed. Required Qualifications Completion of a formal electrical program.Minimum of six years of related industry experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email communication, and Windows-based computer systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience.Experience working with apprenticeship programs.Strong organizational and classroom management skills.Ability to motivate and engage adult learners.Knowledge of current National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, industry regulations, and safety standards.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Ability to build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
