About The Role
We are hiring on behalf of one of our top industrial clients. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment in a state of readiness. Performs appropriate production equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and prepares required daily and weekly department operating reports. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems, and machinery.

About The Role

This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems, and machinery.
What You'll Accomplish
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment by following the manufacturer's recommended service intervals and company procedures.
- Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
- Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments.
- Reports required repairs or other findings to the Supervisor.
- Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
- Adheres to all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work environments.
What We're Looking For
- Required Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Required Experience: 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction within heavy industrial environments.
- Practical Skills: Working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and general plant maintenance (changing screens, welding, cutting torch, and hand tools).
- Preferred Skills: Experience operating a skid-steer or man-lift; experience with stick welding, arc welding, and light fabrication.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy.
Additional Requirements
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must maintain a proper seal where the respirator meets the face in order to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing, subject to reasonable medical or religious accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
