Project Manager - R& D Wireline Team | Houston, TXJob Overview: Lead innovative wireline technology R& D projects from conception to delivery, driving the future of wireline solutions through effective project management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic leadership. This role requires an experienced professional who can balance technical expertise with strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities: - Direct multiple complex R& D wireline projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical requirements
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and operations
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, delivering clear communications on progress and outcomes
- Establish and maintain high quality standards for all project deliverables
- Lead post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing across the organization
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and environmental policies
Skills Required: - Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex technical projects
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and decisive decision-making abilities
- Strategic thinking with focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- High degree of autonomy and accountability
Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical discipline (STEM)
- 5-7 years of proven experience in project management within R& D or wireline technologies
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (15-20%)
Qualifications Preferred: - Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (STEM)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Strong knowledge of wireline systems, product development cycles, and technology trends
- Experience with process and guideline improvements
