The Department of Emergency Medicine, McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , is seeking Internal Medicine board-certified/eligible candidates for casual staff physicians in our Hospitalist Division.

McGovern Medical School is the sixth-largest Medical School in the U.S. and first in the number of healthcare graduates in Texas. Our Hospitalist service follows a traditional 7-on/7-off block schedule with night and weekend coverage across the clinical team. Our primary clinical site is Memorial Hermann Hospital (MHH) in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) .

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Providing clinical services at Memorial Hermann, Texas Medical Center, including care and supervision of acutely hospitalized patients.
• Delivering direct patient care and educating medical students and residents.
• Reporting directly to the Medical Director.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO
• Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine,
• Licensed or eligible for full medical licensure in the State of Texas.
• Practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a manner that supports the needs of the patient

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
