Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Executive Administrator to the Executive Vice President and Chief Business Affairs and Strategy Officer. This employee provides executive administrative support for the office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Business Affairs and Strategy Officer. Performs advanced and confidential administrative support duties requiring broad experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. Makes independent decisions in the executive office.

Position Key Accountabilities: - Handles a wide variety of complex and confidential situations.
- Directs the daily administrative activities of the office.
- Makes complex administrative decisions requiring a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Administers units/divisions/departments' operating budget.
- Prepares or directs preparation of all correspondence, reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Prioritizes and maintains complex schedules and coordinates related arrangements in compliance with all University, governmental, and/or grant policies and guidelines.
- Serves as the liaison to and coordinates with internal and external groups.
- Resolves complex inquiries and questions.
- Maintains financial and human resources systems.
- Manages Human Resources activities for the department, including recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills: - Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound knowledge of standard office software packages.
Minimum Education: High school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience supporting a member of the senior executive team required.
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive: This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position. Residency Requirement: Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
