UTHealth Houston's Neurology Department is hiring for a
Seasonal Hire to complete general lab work for NIH funded R35 grant awarded to Dr. McCullough. The individual will complete projects in cell culture, histology, behavior, and general lab.
This position is funded by grants that comprise 50% or more of the funding. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding for this position. Your employment may end upon the cancellation or discontinuation of the project, program, or funding. This appointment is for less than 4.5 months.

Position Summary: The McCullough Lab requires a Seasonal Hire to assist senior lab personnel to complete NIH funded projects related to aging, stroke, and dementia. The individual will assist in cell culture with cell line maintenance, histology processing tissue, behavior testing, and post-surgical care.
Position Key Accountabilities: Report to senior lab personnel and complete assigned tasks related to ongoing projects.
Minimum Education: None. Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Minimum Experience: None. One year of experience with laboratory and/or scientific procedures, preferred
Residency Requirement: Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
