Description:
UTHealth Houston's Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is looking for a Part-Time Research Assistant to support a research program that focuses on developing a collaborative, multi‑omics precision medicine platform to support clinical decision‑making and translate AI from bench to bedside. The work spans advanced AI methods such as federated and lifelong learning and privacy‑preserving foundation models that adapt to evolving imaging protocols and diseases. The team collaborates across diverse healthcare applications, including radiology, oncology, telemedicine, and digital health, with work recognized through international conference presentations and awarded patents. A research assistant will contribute to innovative, team‑based projects at the intersection of AI, medical imaging, and clinical care. Under general supervision, this seasonal role will design, develop, and maintain VoxelInsight - An agentic AI platform for medical imaging AI research and clinical deployment. Seasonal hires may work a maximum of 4.5 months.What we do here changes the world. Position Summary: Under general supervision, design, develop, and maintain VoxelInsight ( BioIntelligence-Lab/VoxelInsight ) - An agentic AI platform for medical imaging AI research and clinical deployment.
Position Key Accountabilities: - Develop the agentic architecture for VoxelInsight.
- Lead external collaborations with industrial and academic partners on the VoxelInsight project.
- Continually develop different features within VoxelInsight to support data handling, segmentation, and foundation model research.
