The hire will conduct computational and statistical analyses related to The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) datasets and other large-scale genomic and transcriptomic resources. The position supports ongoing cancer informatics projects within the Center for Translational AI Excellence and Applications in Medicine (TEAM-AI) and the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, focusing on modeling gene regulation and post-translational modification pathways in cancer.

Position Key Accountabilities: 1. Perform data processing, harmonization, and analysis of public transcriptomic and clinical datasets.
2. Generate and document reproducible results using Python/R and GitHub-based workflows.
3. Support visualization and interpretation of gene and pathway-level findings.
4. Prepare analytical summaries and figures for project reports and manuscripts.
5. Participate in regular updates and meetings.
Certification/Skills: None
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
- Understanding of statistical and network-based methods in genomics
Minimum Experience: None
Individuals must be a minimum age of 16 years.
Preferred Experience: - Experience with large-scale genomics data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical modeling, deep learning, and visualization.
- Familiarity with TCGA, GEO, or other public cancer genomics datasets.
- Experience using GitHub for version control and reproducible workflows.
