We are hiring a Research Coordinator I (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Houston, TX . In this role, you will Individual will coordinate research partnerships with internal and external partners, and also lead coordination of various aspects of nutrition-based research projects, including data collection, project management activities, data management and reporting.

Position Summary:

Assists with human subject research project conduct and management, including participant recruitment and data collection, entry, management, and analysis. Assists with research project logistics, maintaining records, preparing reports, and meeting research milestones and deadlines.

Position Key Accountabilities:
  • Contact, recruit, schedule, and follow up with study participants for interviews, assessments, intervention
    sessions, and other research activities using phone calls, text messaging, email, and other communication
    methods.
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, biometric assessments, and other quantitative and qualitative data collection
    activities using REDCap or similar electronic data capture platforms.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, school staff, community partners, and
    stakeholders to support participant engagement, retention, and successful study implementation.
  • Support community- and school-based research activities including outreach, participant tracking, attendance
    monitoring, intervention implementation, and distribution of study materials and participant incentives.
  • Maintain accurate study records, data entry, regulatory documentation, and quality control procedures in
    accordance with study protocols and research guidelines.
  • Assist with coordination and logistical support for research activities, including preparation of materials,
    organization of supplies and equipment, event support, and communication with study teams and community
    partners.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, staff, and community partners on research implementation, dissemination
    activities, and other ongoing public health research initiatives.
  • Perform other research-related duties as assigned in support of Center research activities.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
