This exciting position is with our Center for Translational AI Excellence and Applications in Medicine at the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics.

• Design and lead independent research projects focused on digital twins methodology and applications in healthcare, including simulation-based modeling of patient trajectories, treatment outcomes, and care pathways using real-world data.
• Develop and evaluate AI/ML methods with an emphasis on spatiotemporal modeling techniques (e.g., time-series forecasting, graph-based models, and transformer architectures) applied to EHRs, sensor data, imaging, and other multimodal clinical datasets.
• Ensure data quality and fitness-for-use by implementing robust preprocessing, missing data handling, data harmonization, and validation strategies to support valid and reproducible modeling process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning biomedical informatics, clinical experts, biostatistics, and computer science to translate methodological innovations into practical applications.

Position Summary:

A biomedical postdoc position provides an opportunity for early-career researchers to gain valuable experience, develop independent research skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their field of expertise.
