Come join a groundbreaking team training the next generation of mental health care professionals!We are looking for an Ongoing Education Supervisor to provide clinical supervision, staff training, in‑services, monthly chart audits, and the supervision of LMSW clinicians pursuing LCSW licensure. Working within a multidisciplinary treatment team, the position helps develop individualized treatment and safe discharge plans, assesses psychosocial functioning, and engages patients and families to identify strengths and barriers. The position provides consultation and coverage for psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning, while also reviewing patient progress to prevent over- or under-utilization of services. Manages and oversees education, ongoing training, in-services, monthly chart auditing, as well as LMSW clinicians seeking LCSW supervision.
Position Key Accountabilities: - Directs clinical supervision of all LMSW clinicians seeking clinical supervision.. Supervises the Lead Recreation Therapist and Chaplains. Conducts chart audits in order to identify deficient documentation and provides performance training that will help the staff avoid deficiencies in future. Participates in peer reviews to troubleshoot complex cases.
- Monitors timeliness of assigned staff members required assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans, and any other required services in order to meet the standards of Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Manages staffing and ensures coverage for assigned areas. Tracks time and attendance for assigned staff. Provides indirect services to patients by acting as an advocate for the patient/family with the treatment team development through consultations with assigned staff or as needed for coverage.
- Provides consultation and coverage for direct services to patients including: psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, and treatment that includes: group and family therapy, crisis intervention and treatment planning development.
- Provides consultation and coverage for oversight of patients care, progress in treatment, and progress toward discharge in order to prevent both the over-utilization and the under-utilization of inpatient treatment services.
- Works with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop an individual treatment plan, and a safe and appropriate discharge plan that will support patients ongoing outpatient treatment.
- Consults with assigned staff as needed to assess the psychosocial functioning of patients at admission and throughout the treatment program; conducts interviews with patients and significant others to determine assets as well as challenges to optimal patient functioning both while in the program and upon discharge to a lesser restrictive level of care.
- Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills: - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by State of Texas required or
- Supervisor (LCSW-S) required
Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Social Work required
Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a mental health setting with two (2) years of experience providing clinical supervision required
