UT Physicians is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Sienna Multispecialty Clinic. In this full-time role, you will function as an integral member of a collaborative clinical team, providing focused care to patients with predictable healthcare needs while supporting safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary ambulatory setting serving both specialty and geriatric populations. Position Summary:
- Functions as a member of the clinical team providing focused care to assigned patients with predictable healthcare needs, Aims to provide care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
- Directed practice under supervision of registered nurse, advanced practice nurse, physician assistant, physician, dentist or podiatrist.
- Functions under own license providing technical component of care such as medication administration and clinical procedures.
- Collects data and performs focused patient assessments.
- Participates in the plan of care.
- Implements appropriate aspects of care within scope of practice.
- Solicits orders or initiates standing orders for prescription refills and implements standing delegation orders as necessary for specific patient population management.
- Implements teaching plans for patients with well-defined health problems and well-defined learning needs.
- Provides direct basic care to assigned patients.
- Performs telephone messaging and in person screening with appropriate follow up.
- Performs all functions related to clinic and patient flow to include clinic preparation, supply stocking, EHR review, preparation for and assistance with procedures, scheduling appointments. Respects and maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Adheres to standards of practice for vocational nurses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
- None
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s)
Minimum Experience:
- None
- Previous experience working in a multispecialty clinic is preferred.
