UTHealth is looking for an Executive Recruiter in Human Resources to lead and support the university's executive recruitment efforts. The individual selected for this highly visible role will have an opportunity to recruit for the university's top leadership across our seven schools and central administration. This is an exciting, high-touch, customer-service-oriented role that will require you to interact with key stakeholders across our organization. The recruiting process is in-depth, multi-phase, full-cycle, and detailed. It requires this person to be proactive in keeping candidates engaged and clients informed. You will be responsible for sourcing executive-level candidates, negotiating with them, and partnering with search firms.
You must possess a natural curiosity to learn comprehensive and intriguing details about each school and hiring department, and to develop a clear understanding of the responsibilities of each opportunity. The executive recruiter must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, including remote work and on-site work when required. Important recruiting skills include cultivating a strong network and cold-calling passive candidates to spark interest in open positions at our organization. Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing search committees and leading recruitment for director-level roles and above. It would be a plus to have a background working for a search firm.
This is a full-time, exempt position. You will be eligible for all UTHealth benefits, including healthcare coverage and participation in a pension plan administered by the State of Texas. The home office is located at our University Center Tower at Fannin and Pressler. This location is served by both bus and rail lines in Metro Houston. This is a hybrid position, so you must be willing to come on-site at the Texas Medical Center when required.
This is a hybrid role. Employees must either live or plan to relocate to the State of Texas. You will be required to come to our Texas Medical Center office. Most of the time, though, work will be performed remotely in your home office. Employees come in to manage interview sessions and strategic meetings with the team. What we do here changes the world. UTHealth Houston is Texas' resource for healthcare education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. That's where you come in.
