Endowed Professor (Full-Time, Tenure Track) - School of Behavioral Health Sciences

The School of Behavioral Health Sciences at UTHealth Houston invites applications for a full-time Endowed Professor position. We seek an accomplished scholar with a strong record of NIH-funded research and demonstrated leadership in advancing behavioral health science. Candidate must provide a minimum of 50% in funding for salary support from grants and contracts. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a robust, externally funded research program in behavioral health sciences.
• Maintain active NIH research funding and pursue new grant opportunities.
• Provide mentorship to junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.
• Collaborate across UTHealth Houston and affiliated institutions to foster interdisciplinary research.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development within the School of Behavioral Health Sciences.
• Engage in service activities that advance the mission of UTHealth Houston.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in behavioral health sciences, psychology, psychiatry, public health, or a related field.
• Distinguished record of scholarship and sustained NIH funding.
• Evidence of leadership in research and academic program development.

Preferred Expertise:

• Behavioral health interventions, mental health disparities, addiction science, or related areas.
