We are hiring a Community Research Liaison (part-time) to join UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will set up weekly pop-up clinics in laundromats, conduct point-of-care testing for diabetes, and help individuals navigate care with our partners at University Health. Ideal candidate should have prior experience providing health screenings or medical care background. Bilingual in Spanish, highly preferred.

Essential Functions: - Set up pop-up clinics in partnering laundromats for this project
- Meet and provide screenings for diabetes, hypertension, depression, and anxiety disorder
- Help provide health education for diabetes, hypertension, depression, and anxiety disorder
- Navigate individuals who screen positive for diabetes/pre-diabetes to care at University Health
- Follow-up with clients about their care and collect data on their progress over several months
- Codes and edits information for the project for entry into database.
- Handles administrative details such as time and effort reports, and mileage reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Work Experience- None
- Experience conducting health screenings, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Completion of Human Research Subject training.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detailed oriented.
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
Licenses and CertificationsPhysical Requirements- Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
